Discover a new book each week with Tots Tales Babies
Following the success of our first Tots Tales programme written in 2017 we took the opportunity during lockdown 2020 to adapt and develop a programme just for babies. We are super proud of this programme and the feedback we get regularly tells us it’s a big hit with our babies too!
Just like toddlers, babies also respond well to structure and routine, these aspects are included in our classes. Each session starts with an exploratory scene setter of our chosen book. These scenes offer opportunity for babies to explore as well as a really cute photo opportunity for those insta worthy shots!
We then invite everyone to join us in adult-led structured activities to focus on specific areas of development as we discover a new book each week.
Our babies programme always includes an element of messy or sensory play so best come prepared with wipes and spare clothes!
Fun with words
At Tots Tales Babies, we provide a welcoming, relaxed and fun learning environment. Through lots of great songs and stories we all know and love, fun activities and games, educational signing, props, puppets and instruments; you can support your baby in having fun and developing their:
⭐ Speech and Language Development
Focus on language development activities to get our babies early sound making and babble, encouraging speech and new vocabulary; reduce frustration and build confidence.
⭐ Social Skills
Encourage independence and vital skills needed for early nursery, pre-school and beyond such as teamwork, turn-taking, sharing, active listening and following cues.
⭐ Early Learning Skills
Learn about colours, counting and other basic concepts to encourage problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
⭐ Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Fine and Gross Motor Skills – Our developmental, sensory and physical activities keep babies engaged and are designed to help develop both fine and gross motor skills.
Our team of class leaders bring a wealth of professional and personal experience to these classes. Our professional backgrounds include paediatric occupational therapy, sensory integration training, paediatric speech and language therapy, behavioural psychology and early years practitioners.
It is these skills and professional experience that we bring to our classes to help and encourage all children (at all stages) and in all aspects of their development.

Every week we encourage the sharing of a new story and all the magical opportunities to play and learn that come with sharing a book with your child.
